Privacy Policy

Draper Goren Blockchain ("DGB", "we") operates dgb.vc. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and the choices you have. It applies to dgb.vc only. Our portfolio companies run their own websites under their own policies.

What we collect

What you send us. When you use the contact form, the newsletter signup, or email us, we receive what you choose to share: your name, email address, company or organization, a link to your deck or website, and your message. We use it to reply to you, to evaluate a pitch or an introduction, and to send you the newsletter if you asked for it.

What your browser sends. Like every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. We use these to keep the site running and secure.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site in aggregate, such as which pages are read and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose and processes data under Google's own privacy terms. We do not connect analytics data to your name or email.

Preferences. The site remembers your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. That value never leaves your device.

We do not collect payment information on this site, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

How we use it

We use the information above to respond to you, to evaluate companies and introductions, to send the newsletter to people who subscribed, to operate and improve the site, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who else sees it

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site and our firm, and only as needed to do so. Today those are:

• Vercel, which hosts the site and produces the server logs described above.
• Google, for Google Analytics, and Google Workspace, which handles our email.
• Resend, which delivers the newsletter.
• Slack, where new form submissions are announced to our team internally.

Form submissions are also stored in our own internal systems so we can follow up. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of DGB, our companies, or others. If DGB is ever part of a merger or reorganization, information may transfer with it.

Where it lives

DGB is based in Michigan and our providers process data in the United States. If you are outside the United States, your information is transferred here. Where European or UK law applies, we rely on your consent (for the newsletter) and on our legitimate interest in responding to you and running the site.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and pitches for as long as the conversation or relationship is active, and afterward for as long as we need them for our records. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained on Google Analytics' standard schedule.

Your choices

Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to unsubscribe, to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, along with the right to know what categories of information we collect and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may switch off analytics but will not affect the site itself.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Substantive changes will be noted here.
